What is the best thing I can do?
Actually, I think I am not good at anything. I can do a little bit of this and that, but it never becomes my best shot. trying to be at ny best is the intention, but it doesn't mean I'm good at it. My resolution this year: try to find out what my best is.
oh, so tired, how much I wish to go back to Vietnam and be with my family and friends, eat the food I love and enjoy the hustle bustle city. I wanna feel the sun, the humid heat, and hear my mother tongue.
If there 's a fantasy world, that secondary world would be Saigon. I love it, despite all the negative that we heard everyday. Mother land is something so special, it's like an imprint of the bird, once we are born there, we would accept it and love it no matter how "bad" it is.
I know an Italian family here, they adopt a Vietnamese twin, one of the 2 girls has serious medical problem, she can't walk properly, and that effects her digestion and internal organs. To take a huge responsibility and commitment in such situation requires a great deal of strength and kindness.
then this morning, I read a piece of news in Vietnam, a young couple saw the picture of a 6 year old girl, naked, disabled on a street in a poor hometown in the Nord of Vietnam, they decided to take the baby home and promised to cure her till she recovers then the girl can go back to her poor family. FYI: healthcare in Vietnam is very expensive and inconvenient.
The story is so touching. Some might said it would be a hoax. But I still believe it, I believe kindness does exist.
