So after my BA course (Language and Litterature) in Italy, I believe I understand European culture much much better than the history of my own homeland. I wonder whether I can find such rich and maybe-true info about Vietnam and South East Asia like what I have studied about Europe? How could we be sure that all the events and incidents were real, that there is no bias? Certainly events during WWI and II, or Hitler, or Soviet have bias too, but at least, there is still freedom of speech, and people debate everyday to unveil the untold stories, or retell another side of the stories. How about Vietnam and China? They burnt books, documents, they rewrite the history which favors their party, then what is the other side of the stories? not inluding so many people were killed, bursted, imprisoned because they have said or fought for things that they are not supposed to by the party?
1984 is a great book, sadly, I see alot of ideas from this dystopia came true. (certainly not only in South East Asia, but also everywhere, BUT it seems the negative extremity in Vietnam and China is unacceptable.

I talked to a friend, he is unhappy. But he didn't do anything to change the situation. At the end, I found out, he suffers this sorrow for another benefit, and convenience.
At the end of the day, everything has its own reason, sometimes they just try to deny and run away from the truth. Thing I have learnt from this: I shouldn't interfere or worry about someone too much, cuz they know the situation better than me, and maybe they just complain for the sake of the complaning pleasure. Maybe. (guess I'm a little pissed! it will pass! :) )

young people (aspecially Italian ones around me that I know) said they live in misery and poverty. I wonder how they define the misery and poverty. Though off course, if they do feel it, then it's true. We don't have to live in Zimbawe to feel the misery. :) But why don't they do soemthing to change it? there are a thousand of reasons presented, however all of them came from their presumption, none of them were proved. Then I should give them a charming smile and turn my back. Good luck!though to be honest, there is no such luck with this mindset. Again, in my opinion. :)
